Driving around the country in his infamous Tatsvan, Tats has raised the level of commitment to the competition scene. He welcomes people to travel with him, party with him, compete with him, even crash the Tatsvan. Oh, and can he ski. He holds numerous venue records for the fastest descent times. Case in point: in 2008 at Snowbird, he skied the entire North Baldy (1,700’+ vertical) in about 10 seconds, no joke. Tats is revered at Discrete—his stoke and charisma is unparalleled. In the offseason, Tats lives in a van down by the river, guiding rafting trips.
